Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) Secretary General Jerome Adonis criticized the proposed 2027 National Budget, stating that it continues to feature discretionary line items and pork barrel funds similar to previous fiscal years.

Adonis expressed concern over reduced funding for agriculture, healthcare, and basic education, noting that state expenditures prioritize debt servicing and military allocations over social welfare.

He called for reallocating discretionary funds toward direct support for working-class families and labor sector programs.
