United People’s Initiative (UPI) Secretary General Capt. Rey Valeros Jr. alleged that the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte is strategically organized to remove political opposition ahead of proposed constitutional amendments.
Valeros claimed that state investigative bodies are being utilized to pursue charges against the Vice President while her legislative allies face political pressure.
He argued that removing the Vice President aims to facilitate term-extension proposals through a Constitutional Assembly, calling on the public to monitor legislative developments.
