Ben Ranque, Lead Convenor of the Masa Sara Duterte Alliance (MASADA), characterized Senator Mark Villar’s vote in favor of adjusting the Senate impeachment voting threshold as a tactical political move rather than a shift in political allegiance.
Ranque explained that the vote pertained strictly to establishing internal court rules rather than a final verdict on the merits of the case.
He expressed confidence that the Villar family will ultimately vote to acquit Vice President Sara Duterte when final trial proceedings conclude.
