Ateneo de Davao University Professor Dr. Christopher Maboloc asserted that recent legal actions and the arrest warrant issued against Vice President Sara Duterte are intended to affect her public standing ahead of the 2028 presidential election.
Dr. Maboloc described the concurrent judicial and legislative actions as attempts by political opponents to lower the Vice President’s trust ratings during the Senate impeachment trial.
The academic maintained that the allegations lack sufficient prima facie support and bypass standard procedural norms.
