August Twenty-One Movement (ATOM), through spokesperson Volt Bohol, clarified that there is no so-called “Uni-Yellow” or tactical alliance between their group and the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
The statement came in response to speculation circulating on social media after Kris Aquino was seen at an event in Malacañang. Bohol explained that ATOM’s announcement was not a direct reaction to the photo but rather an effort to reaffirm the group’s position amid online rumors.
He emphasized that the “yellow” symbol embraced by ATOM represents the spirit of the pre-EDSA movement, rooted in the struggle led by Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. and the People Power Revolution.
Bohol stressed that the organization has no plans to unite or form alliances with any faction within the current administration.
