Coco Naik, Chairperson of the Migrant Workers Committee, likened the current situation in the Senate to a “bad cop, good cop” scenario following reports of conflict among lawmakers.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Naik expressed concern over the confusion caused by conflicting directives issued by Senate President Alan Cayetano and Acting Senate President Senator Win Gatchalian.
Tensions further escalated after Senator Erwin Tulfo called some rank-and-file employees “stupid” and “fools,” remarks that were strongly rejected despite his apology and gesture of giving them cake.
To put an end to the drama, Naik urged clarity on the Senate leadership, stressing the need to determine who the legitimate leader truly is.
