Vendors at the Bulua Fish Landing are calling on the building owner to clear and unblock clogged drainage lines across the facility.
Seafoods and Wholesaler President Irene Floro reported to Bombo Radyo that stagnant wastewater and foul odors persist due to years of accumulated waste blocking the channels.
Floro noted that following a meeting with the City Council, the group sent a formal petition to UKC, the private building owner, requesting authorization to perform drainage maintenance.
She emphasized that vendors cannot legally initiate structural repairs without official clearance, urging a comprehensive cleaning of the building’s front, side, and rear drainage channels to permanently resolve the issue
