The city police assured consistent police visibility in schools starting from Brigada Eskwela, while deeper investigations are currently underway regarding videos circulating on social media showing weapons and threats against schools in the city.

In an exclusive interview with Bombo Radyo, Bulua Police Station Commander PMaj. Rutherford T. Ondin eased the concerns of parents and students of Bulua National High School regarding the circulating threat of a minor gunman.

He explained that security in the city’s schools was already tightened under the directive of City Director Police Colonel Dexter Paje, alongside force multipliers and barangay tanods at various major schools in the city.

However, he noted that Bulua National High School is not the only institution covered by the viral post, as other schools in the region are included.

Consequently, a deeper investigation is fully underway into the said videos to properly file charges against individuals behind the fake news and the exaggeration of videos that caused panic in the city’s schools.
