Local transport groups strongly opposed the sudden entry and operations of taxis owned by a foreign company in Cagayan de Oro City.
CAFITADA President Bernie Jamaca revealed that his group sent a formal complaint letter to the LTFRB Central Office against Green GSM EV Taxi, which is owned by a billionaire from Vietnam.
Jamaca added that they brought the matter to the House of Representatives and the Senate to investigate how franchises were granted to these vehicles.
To strengthen their position, CAFITADA joined forces with major national transport groups like MANIBELA and the National Federation of Transport Cooperatives to protect local transport operators.
