Local taxi operators and drivers in Cagayan de Oro expect to deploy e-taxis this year to compete with foreign-owned Green GSM.
CAFITADA President Bernie Jamaca announced a scheduled meeting this Thursday with Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy and LTFRB Region 10 to formalize their partnership with Filipino EV company Hail PH.
Through this initiative, the group aims to roll out an initial 300 rent-to-own e-taxi units to safeguard local livelihoods affected by the entry of foreign fleet operators.
The association is working to begin operations before the end of the current year.
