Cagayan de Oro City Councilor and Trade and Commerce Committee Chairman George Christopher Goking expressed optimism that the city will attract new investments in the coming months following engagements at the 35th Mindanao Business Conference.
Goking noted that the city’s Trade and Investment Promotion Center previously met with European Union Counselor to the Philippines Marco Gemmer to explore potential collaborations regarding a green circular economy and solid waste management.
He added that discussions are also ongoing with representatives from other nations, including Australia, to secure support for local private enterprise.
Goking emphasized that public-private partnerships remain essential for improving city infrastructure and municipal services for Kagay-anon residents.
