The City Government of Cagayan de Oro escalated road clearing operations to remove illegal structures and street vendors obstructing public roads and market premises.
Mayoral Spokesperson Janboy Actub stated that the enforcement strictly adheres to the city’s traffic code and directives from the DILG.
Addressing viral social media footage regarding force used by task force personnel against non-compliant vendors on day one, Actub clarified that clearing operations extend beyond Cogon Market and are being conducted citywide in coordination with barangay officials.
