Cagayan de Oro police clarified that their office as a whole has no involvement in the molestation of two police interns.

Police Major Emilita Simon, spokesperson for the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), stated that they view the incident as a major warning and challenge to reform future batches of police interns so that it will not happen again.

The official added that the misconduct was a personal decision by the two law enforcers, leading to their immediate relief from their posts to directly face administrative and criminal charges.

Moreover, leadership assured that they remain faithful to their duties and will continue to set a good example for incoming personnel.
