The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) deployed personnel to five Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA)—Barangays Tuburan, Besigan, Dansolihon, Taglima, and Tagpangi—under the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay initiative.
COCPO Spokesperson Police Major Emilita Simon explained that establishing a continuous security presence in remote communities resolves communication gaps, improves public safety, and ensures rapid emergency response.
