Cagayan de Oro City Agriculturist Engr. Bernie Daba confirmed that his office has received no formal complaints from local farmers regarding water shortages, noting that municipal irrigation systems remain fully functional.
Daba reported that local crop harvests are progressing as scheduled and the city’s fresh produce supply remains stable.
However, he advised rain-dependent farmers to delay planting cycles temporarily to avoid crop failure and financial loss, reassuring affected workers that alternative livelihood assistance is available under the city’s drought contingency plan.
