Former Oro Chamber President Ray Talimio Jr. expressed optimism that foreign consular offices may soon be established in Cagayan de Oro, similar to existing diplomatic missions in Davao City.

Talimio shared the goal following the opening day of the 33rd Mindanao Business Conference, which was attended by foreign ambassadors and diplomatic delegates.

The business leader noted that conference sessions focused heavily on supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), mitigating El Niño impacts, improving food security, and addressing regional power grid stability.

Despite existing infrastructure challenges, Talimio emphasized that Cagayan de Oro remains a premier investment destination in Northern Mindanao.
