Cagayan Electric Power and Light Co. (CEPALCO) reminded consumers to practice energy conservation as regional power supply constraints affect the grid.
CEPALCO Assistant Vice President Marilyn Chavez explained that voluntary load reduction helps prevent unplanned grid-wide power outages.
Chavez expressed appreciation to commercial establishments and shopping centers that switch to self-generating back-up systems during peak hours (5:00 PM to 8:00 PM) to reduce demand on the local distribution system.
