Members of the LGBTQ+ community in Cagayan de Oro City are gathering today for an important assembly.
According to Sol Paeste-Mosqueda of the City Gender and Development (GAD) office, the assembly will discuss LGBTQ+ rights, particularly in relation to health and legal matters.
Around 10 to 15 participants from each of the city’s 80 barangays are expected to attend to ensure their sector’s voices are heard.
Mosqueda explained that the initiative aims to provide LGBTQ+ members with knowledge about their legal rights and access to medical programs available to them.
