Cagayan de Oro City Jail Female Dormitory Warden Jail Senior Inspector Mary Rose Pacana denied social media allegations alleging that intoxicated jail guards mistreated female persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) or forced them to dance.
Pacana clarified that dance activities conducted within the facility are structured components of official welfare, physical exercise, and mental health programs, as well as preparations for official events.
She emphasized that the facility strictly respects inmate rights and dismissed the online reports as malicious rumors.
