The upcoming Street Dancing Competition for the Higalaay Festival on August 26 will follow a new parade route, starting from Limketkai Center, proceeding along C.M. Recto Avenue onto Velez Street, and ending at the Don Gregorio Pelaez Sports Center.

Acting City Tourism Head Marky Jalapadan announced that while the Float Competition was removed this year, floats from non-profit organizations and sponsors are permitted to join the Civic Military Parade and Marching Band Competition on August 27 as non-competing entries.

Jalapadan noted that 186 participating groups have been confirmed so far—down slightly from 220 last year—though numbers are expected to rise before the August 10 registration deadline. Organizers are coordinating to ensure the main parade concludes before noon.
