BAYAN representative Jaime Paglinawan voiced grave concern over the country’s economic trajectory during the 54th anniversary of Martial Law, noting that national debt has expanded to ₱19.37 trillion.
Paglinawan contrasted current fiscal liabilities with historical debt levels, warning that compounding debt burdens combined with civil rights concerns threaten long-term stability.
He urged the public to study historical economic patterns to advocate for responsible governance.
