United People’s Initiative (UPI) Secretary General Captain Rey Valeros Jr. asserted that Vice President Sara Duterte can successfully defend against impeachment charges if trial proceedings strictly adhere to constitutional due process.
Valeros stated that public trust ultimately relies on the rule of law and constitutional adherence by state institutions, including the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
He added that military and police leadership remain committed to upholding constitutional order rather than partisan interests.
