The Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) will scale its security deployments depending on the nature of specific events throughout the month-long Higalaay Festival.
COCPO Spokesperson Police Major Emilita Simon confirmed that security protocols are active for the city’s core, major, and regular events.
While event coordination continues, COCPO requested auxiliary personnel from the regional office to reinforce city units.
Simon added that alongside full police deployments, community force multipliers and partner law enforcement agencies have been mobilized to maintain order across all festival venues.
