The celebration of the Higalaay Festival in honor of Señor San Agustin concluded peacefully and successfully, according to City Councilor Roger Abaday, Chairman of the Committee on Police, Fire, and Public Safety.
The outcome was attributed to close coordination among the police force, military units, Task Force Oro, CDRRMO, and RTA in maintaining order throughout the festival and its major public events.
The official noted that despite minor incidents—such as reported crowd congestion and temporary faintings in densely populated areas—overall public safety was maintained.
The chairman characterized the city’s festival programming as a major success due to its peaceful conclusion.
