Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Eric Salcedo brought welcome news to daily commuters after requesting the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to recalibrate the official fare matrix for provincial routes.
Salcedo urged the agency to recalculate exact distance measurements from neighboring municipalities like Gitagum to the Bulua Terminal to ensure fair pricing.
The councilor assured commuters that recalibrating the fare matrix will lower overall transit expenses rather than increase them, helping daily passengers save on travel costs.
