Atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations have crossed 400 parts per million, driving accelerated global warming.
According to data presented by Bencyrus G. Ellorin, Project Director of Consumers for Renewable Energy Action in Mindanao (CREAM), during an interview with Bombo Radyo, this level exceeds the safe baseline threshold of 350 parts per million.
Due to these changes, experts warn of intensified heat conditions brought by El Niño starting this November through the second quarter of next year.
Consequently, the organization cautioned that these climatic shifts will significantly impact agricultural output and increase the risk of severe flooding events.
