Atty. Raymond Batu, legal counsel of DDS Sara All Confederation, challenged the credibility of National Bureau of Investigation Director Melvin Matibag as a prosecution witness in court hearings.
Batu said Matibag acted more like a prosecutor than a witness, supporting the prosecution’s theory instead of testifying only on what he personally knew.
He added that Matibag’s testimony showed clear bias and improper conclusions, which undermined public trust.
According to Batu, Matibag’s actions amounted to betrayal of public trust by acting as part of the prosecution team rather than as an independent investigator.
