Solutions Architect and CEO Joever Monceda expressed concern over the growing overreliance of today’s youth on artificial intelligence (AI).
The tech expert explained that the greatest danger posed by this technology is the decline of a child’s critical thinking skills, as students increasingly rely on their smartphones to solve every problem and answer school assignments.
Monceda likened AI to a knife—a tool that can be used productively for cooking or maliciously for harm, depending on the responsibility of the person wielding it.
On the other hand, he acknowledged that AI also brings positive impacts, noting that it can generate new jobs and opportunities for society if managed and utilized correctly.
