A major fire swept through Burgos Street in Barangay 7, Cagayan de Oro City yesterday, leaving ₱8 million in property damage, completely destroying seven houses, and partially damaging three others.
Cagayan de Oro City Fire District Chief of Operations FSINSP John Rey Donasco reported that strong winds pushed flames onto a responding fire truck during operations, damaging the vehicle.
Firefighters battled the blaze for over three hours before officially declaring a fire out.
Fire investigators are continuing their probe to determine the precise cause of the outbreak.
