The Senate Impeachment Court faces security considerations regarding potential testimony from Colonel Raymund Dante Lachica concerning Vice President Sara Duterte’s confidential funds.
Atty. Samson So Tan of the Liceo de Cagayan University College of Law warned that publicly detailing security protocols and operational spending could compromise intelligence sources and personnel.
Tan noted that revealing investigative procedures related to counter-insurgency and public safety presents strategic risks.
However, he suggested the court could hold executive sessions or closed-door hearings to examine the facts while protecting sensitive operational details.
