“Do not weaken, because democracy is what we are fighting for!” This was the reaction of Ben Ranque, former Energy Undersecretary and now founding convenor of the Masa Sara Duterte Alliance (MASADA), regarding the recent changes in Senate leadership and the Blue Ribbon Committee investigation under the Cayetano bloc.
Ranque explained that these events are a strategy by the Senate majority to block Vice President Sara Duterte’s possible presidential run in 2028.
He also said the aim is to impeach Duterte to avoid investigations into issues involving 18 ex-marines and certain politicians.
Despite this, Ranque assured that their fight for justice and fairness in the country will continue.
