Speaking at the Pag-barog Youth Forum at Xavier University, economist Prof. Jhon Louie Sabal warned that ongoing political disputes and fiscal controversies directly impact consumer prices and national economic growth.
Sabal highlighted the intrinsic link between political stability and economic performance, noting that impeachment trials and corruption scandals drain public resources and discourage foreign direct investment.
He called for institutional transparency and sound governance practices to prevent the wasteful expenditure of public funds.
