Former city mayor and law professor Atty. Oscar Moreno felt somewhat disappointed because President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) failed to touch upon his expectations, particularly on the issue of flood control.
Instead, he disclosed that he was shocked and turned off by the president’s claim that he has already accomplished everything, noting that this is far removed from the actual reality of the issue.
Furthermore, he found the administration’s omission of the hot issue surrounding the impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte to be concerning.
Thus, he described the current situation as highly polarized, with intense exchanges of attacks and complaints continuing between the vice president’s camp and the administration.
