Although the number of Higalaay Festival events has decreased this year, Acting City Information Officer Jade Adeser reassured the public that the city is maximizing its ₱20 million annual budget to deliver a memorable celebration.

Adeser explained that scheduled activities were streamlined from 56 last year down to 52, following the removal of traditional events such as the PE Rhythmic competition and barangay Larong Pinoy.

However, new attractions like a Pickleball Tournament have been introduced.

The spokesperson emphasized that event counts and budget size matter less than delivering joy and quality entertainment to visitors and Kagay-anons alike.
