The president of the Cagayan de Oro Seafoods Wholesalers Association, Irene Floro, strongly urged the construction of a larger and modern fish landing complex in the city.

She said the current Bulua Fish Landing suffers from lack of space and traffic congestion. Their request includes modern facilities such as cold storage, an ice plant, proper truck parking, and organized sorting areas for buyers.

Floro expressed gratitude that Mayor Klarex Uy listened to their concerns and is willing to help find a suitable site, possibly in Punta Macabalan.
