Lay theologian Wilson C. Amad denounced claims by some Chinese scholars that Batanes belongs to China, calling them propaganda that should not be acknowledged by the Philippine government.
He also urged authorities to investigate reports of Chinese nationals buying large tracts of land in Palawan through dummies.
Amad warned that such actions threaten national integrity and must be resisted.
