Teacher and Supreme Court petitioner John Barry T. Tayam continues to push his petition questioning the Department of Education’s curriculum changes.
Tayam expressed concern over the reduction of core subjects from fifteen to only five, including the removal of strands he considers vital for students.
He also highlighted the need for more guidance counselors, noting that one counselor currently handles three schools.
Despite these challenges, Tayam remains hopeful that through cooperation between the legislative and executive branches, necessary actions will be taken to improve the education sector.
