Atty. Samson So Tan argued that the prosecution is wasting time by revisiting issues already known to the public, particularly the grave threat allegations against Vice President Sara Duterte.
He explained that under the Rules of Evidence, matters already widely recognized through circulating videos online should not consume more time.
Even with the presentation of an NBI expert witness, Tan questioned its limited role, which was only to authenticate the recording and not to determine whether it constituted a constitutional violation or betrayal of public trust.
He urged the panel to focus instead on whether such actions are sufficient grounds for impeachment rather than prolonging the dramatic presentation of evidence.
