Atty. Ephraim B. Cortez of the National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers (NUPL) considers further testimony from witnesses like Atty. Zuleika Lopez as “surplusage” or unnecessary, as the case for grave threats and inciting to sedition against Vice President Sara Duterte is already solid.
The lawyer pointed out that when the video of the Vice President’s own testimony was played, it was sufficient to prove the accusations against her.
He added that the second witness successfully established the details of the investigation regarding the issue.
Atty. Cortez believes there is already sufficient basis to implement the fourth article of impeachment against the official.
