Hakbang ng Maisug convenor Atty. Vic Rodriguez answered and challenged the promises made by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in his State of the Nation Address, stating they are no longer believable due to the numerous unfulfilled provisions he has uttered so far.
The lawyer pointed out that since the president’s SONAs in 2022 and 2024, even the promised railway renaissance—particularly the first phase of the Metro Manila Subway program—remains stalled due to budget cuts.
Meanwhile, for the current year 2026, Rodriguez clarified that the president has only 22 months left in office, yet he still prioritizes shifting national funds to ghost flood control and substandard mitigation projects instead of solving the crisis faced by Filipino families.
In response, the official stated that instead of focusing on rising prices, inflation, and corruption, the president prioritizes the welfare of his own family and a few oligarchs.
