Former Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Atty. James Judith likened the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte to a “telenovela,” pointing to Ramil Madriaga’s claims as mere “bare faced allegations” lacking strong documentary evidence.

He explained that impeachment is not only a legal process but also a political contest dependent on numbers.

According to Judith, the outcome is already clear: if the majority secures enough votes, the impeachment can proceed regardless of the strength of evidence.

He added that if the process is already “cooked,” there is little reason to doubt Duterte could be removed from office.
