The Kabataan Partylist urged that the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte be expedited so the public can learn the truth about the use of national funds.
Cobbie Jan Canda stated that the vice president’s camp has relied only on technicalities during the pre-trial conference and has not provided sufficient defense against the allegations.
He added that the process must move forward since it involves taxpayers’ money.
The group emphasized that Filipinos have the right to know how their contributions are being spent, insisting that the issues surrounding the vice president must be clarified to answer society’s questions.
