The Kabataan Partylist condemned the ongoing red-tagging of activists in Davao City, with Cobbie Jan Canda noting that it is a method of harassment and intimidation against progressive groups.
Canda stated that this is a waste of taxpayers’ money because materials such as posters and flyers used in the propaganda are funded by the government.
Therefore, they criticized the actions of the NTF-ELCAC, arguing that instead of fulfilling its mandate, it has chosen to spread black propaganda.
The party-list challenged the agency to be held accountable for using public funds for intimidation rather than providing services for the public.
