Kabataan Partylist Representative Cobbie Jan Canda urged the government to deny special treatment to former House Speaker Martin Romualdez following his hospital arrest for non-bailable plunder charges linked to flood control infrastructure projects.
Canda stated that medical confinement should not be utilized to evade standard detention procedures when public funds are involved.
He argued that Romualdez represents only one component of broader fiscal accountability, calling for investigative scrutiny to extend to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
