The Kabataan Partylist challenged the narrative that all residents of Davao support Vice President Sara Duterte in the impeachment proceedings.
Cobbie Jan Canda pointed out that many locals have long suffered from poor public services despite the Duterte family’s four decades in power.
He cited the lack of attention to basic needs such as schools and the persistent flooding problem in Davao City.
The group insisted that accountability should not only fall on Vice President Duterte but also on the administration of President Marcos Jr.
