Kadamay Secretary General Mimi Doringo condemned the proposed Pax Silica project in Tarlac, describing it as foreign-oriented land grabbing that displaces local farmers and indigenous Aeta communities.
Doringo cited the recent arrests of five paralegals at a corporate forum in Bonifacio Global City and the harassment of a 17-vehicle solidarity caravan as evidence of rights violations.
She rejected claims of economic benefit, arguing that the project offers substandard wages while destroying local livelihoods.
