Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) Northern Mindanao Leader Tita Hadman expressed severe concern over working-class purchasing power as the regional inflation rate reached 7.2 percent.
Hadman questioned official economic growth figures from the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), stating that macroeconomic statistical gains have not translated into financial relief for ordinary families facing high daily commodity prices.
She reiterated the labor group’s demand for a national daily minimum wage adjustment to ₱1,200 to help working households manage escalating living costs.
