The labor group has called for broader vigilance regarding national funds amid the ongoing government budget deliberation period.
This was stated by Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) Northern Mindanao spokesperson Tita Hadman, amid concerns that public funds might once again end up in failed and ghost projects.
In her interview with Bombo Radyo, she explained that despite prioritizing primary expenditures like education, health, and social services, the risk of corruption remains high due to a lack of detailed allocation breakdowns.
Therefore, the group suggested that budget framers clearly explain where every fund goes to eliminate public doubt.
