KADAMAY Secretary General Mimi Doringo called for the immediate repeal of the Downstream Oil Industry Deregulation Act and the implementation of a ₱1,300 daily national minimum wage as global crude prices reached $105 per barrel.
Doringo criticized weekly petroleum price increases and urged oil companies to demonstrate financial transparency regarding their revenues.
She highlighted that working-class families face compounding financial hardship from escalating food and transportation costs while corporate energy profits continue to expand.
