The local government unit of Cagayan de Oro expressed deep appreciation to all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the Higalaay Festival.
According to Acting City Information Officer Jade A. Adeser, Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy extended thanks to security agencies, the business sector, transport groups, and the public for maintaining peace and order throughout the festivities.
Adeser noted that adjusting the schedules for street and fluvial parades proved effective in mitigating the impacts of rain and extreme heat.
Following the conclusion of the festival, the office is preparing to conduct a comprehensive review of operational strategies for next year’s celebration.
